Team USA impressed again over the weekend at the World Championships in Mexico City, Mexico, as Kris Schaff represented Team Elite in the men’s compound team. The team, comprised of Schaff, Braden Gellenthien and Steve Anderson, fought their way through eliminations and came out on top in the gold medal match.
Schaff, shooting an Elite ReVol, and his teammates faced off against Italy in the gold medal match and bested the team by a large 7-point margin (228-235). This gold medal win marks the seventh USA compound world title in 12 of the last of the World Archery Championships.

“This week my equipment performed flawlessly, even though I didn’t have the individual qualification round I wanted,” Schaff said. “No matter if you’re losing or winning, anything can happen – but at the end of the day, shooting for Team USA was a huge blessing. To wear the flag on your shirt and knowing everyone considers you a threat to win is an accomplishment for yourself and the country.”
