Elite Archery was well represented at IBO Worlds in Seven Spring, PA and the World Cup in Berlin, Germany this past weekend. Cara Kelly took home second place at IBO while Kris Schaff won the gold medal in the Team Divison.
“The Elite and TOG shooters have had an amazing year,” said Pro Staff Coordinator Darrin Christenberry. “The continued success of our shooters is a testament to the consistency and durability of their equipment.”
The IBO season came to a close with the IBO World Championship, held at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania. 1,200 shooters were challenged by a difficult course held on a ski resort, all made more difficult by rain.
Elite shooters Cara Kelly and Madison Rutkowski both made the shootoff for the Pro Female Release class. When the dust settled, Cara finished on the podium in 2nd place, ending one of her most successful 3D seasons to date.
Nathan Brooks battled four other competitors in a shootoff for the Pro Male Release class, and left the tournament in 5th place.
Over the pond in Berlin, Germany, Kris Schaff shot along with USA Teammates Braden Gellenthein and Steve Anderson for the Men’s Compound Team Gold Final against Denmark. After a tied round and an intense shootoff, Team USA’s performed flawlessly to take home the gold medal.
