West Henrietta, NY – Elite shooter Kris Schaff has taken home first place in the National Field Archery Association Dakota Classic. The event was held at the NFAA headquarters in Yankton, South Dakota.

“Kris was one of our first shooters to really get behind a ReVol in competition and has been shooting incredible scores all season,” said Elite Director of Engineering, Josh Sidebottom. “The geometry of the riser and performance of the cams fits his shooting style well. The 75% letoff ReVol cam gives Kris the feel he was looking for at full draw. From his 712 qualification score at the Arizona cup to his win a the Dakota Classic, Kris has been extremely consistent all season with the ReVol in his hands.”

Kris, shooting a Sunset Pink Elite ReVol, was nicknamed “The Little Engine That Could” by Greg Poole of Bowjunky Media after his stellar performance in Yankton. In the qualification round, Schaff shot a 598/600, landing him in a tie for 6th place behind some powerhouse archers. Inching his way up to the top, Kris consistently scored 148 against 4 other competitors, which led him to the final match where he ousted the competition with a score of 149 to 147.

“This is my first year with Elite, and already winning a major tournament says something about the quality of equipment they put out,” said Schaff. “My equipment performed better than I ever could have hoped for. When I made a good shot, I knew it was going straight to the middle. I shot some not-so-great shots that still hit the middle because of how forgiving my ReVol is.”

Kris is looking forward to this weekend’s Western Classic Trail Shoot and the 2nd Leg of Outdoor Team Trials where he hopes to secure a spot for Team USA.
