Team USA shined over the weekend at the Junior World Championships in Rosario, Argentina, as Elite Archery’s Curtis Broadnax and Alexis Ruiz secured top rank in their gold medal matches Sunday.

Ruiz, shooting an Elite Victory 37, scored an average of nearly 29 points an end over the 15-arrow match and won by five points (144-139).

Ruiz sat down with World Archery after the match: “It was a competitive match. I train every day for four hours and almost 300 arrows every single day and I just haven’t given up keeping the strong shots.”

Seeded third heading into the Junior World Championships, Broadnax, also shooting an Elite Victory 37, took a three-point lead over Jesse Clayton in the second (59-56), which he then increased over the back nine arrows. He ended the match with a nine-point lead to secure gold (146-137).

“This past week has been such an emotional and successful one to say the least.  My equipment performed awesome and I wouldn’t have wanted any other bow besides a Victory 37 in my hand,” said Curtis Broadnax. “This past week also showed me how hard work and shooting a good bit will pay off and how much I love archery. I just can’t thank The Outdoor Group enough for everything they have done for me so far in my career – I wouldn’t want to wear any other color than blue! And go team USA! “
