The Yankton 2018 World Archery Indoor Championships brought a plethora of incredible archery matches to the NFAA Easton Archery Complex, and Elite impressed with five podium finishes.

In usual World Archery fashion, the Men’s and Junior’s compound team finals were the highlight performances.

Representing Team USA’s Junior Compound Men team, Curtis Broadnax, shooting eye-catching USA-themed Elite Echelon 39, along with his teammates (Ethan King and Zach Harris), won the first gold medal for the United States. Curtis shooting in the third lineup spot, impressed with his composure and final 10-X to complete the final scoring end. Just a short time later, Curtis competed in the individual junior men’s gold medal match and won silver.

“This indoor season has been a great one for Curtis, and to come away with two medals in the Indoor World Championship speaks volumes,” said Darrin Christenberry, Elite Archery pro staff manager. “We’ve seen great improvement in Curtis’ abilities this year and we’re excited to see how he does next indoor season as a pro.”

Shooting for the United States Men’s Compound team was World Archery favorite, Kris “Sharp Shooter” Schaff, who helped lead his team (Jesse Broadwater and Tate Morgan) to a gold medal victory with a near-perfect match. Schaff, shooting an Elite Echelon 39, found himself in the bronze medal match against teammate Broadwater a short time later, but fell to his teammate with a final score of 148-150.

“Kris has stood atop a podium at every World Archery event this year starting with his gold medal performance in Nimes, and that’s no coincidence,” Christenberry said.

Elite’s representation over the border in Canada didn’t go unnoticed in Yankton, as Fiona McClean and Ashlyn Scriven each earned medals for their country and Team Elite.

Shooting a Victory 37, Ashlyn and her Junior Canadian Women’s team earned a silver medal, and shooting an Echelon 37, Fiona and the Women’s Canadian team earned a team bronze medal.

“We’re extremely proud to have Ashlyn and Fiona representing Team Elite,” Christenberry said. “Elite shootability spans countries and contintents, and their podium finishes further exemplify that fact.”
